Residential Supervisory Location (RSL) Related Updates to the U4 Submission APIs Available in the QA Test Environment Starting April 15, 2024
An updated schema for U4 Submission will be published in the QA Test environment on April 15, 2024. The new schema will reflect changes made to the U4 Submission API endpoint in support of the Residential Supervisory Location (RSL) rule that goes into effect on June 1, 2024.
These changes will NOT be made available in the production environment until June 1, 2024.
The updated firmAssociationOfficeLocations node in the U4 schema will now have three new sections:
- isResidentialSupervisoryLocation
- rslBeginDate
- rslEndDate
If the associated office location is identified as a non-registered private residence, the isResidentialSupervisoryLocationControlledFirmDetails is required to be set to either “yes” or “no”. Not setting this flag, will result in a validation error.
The rslBeginDate and rslEndDate fields are FINRA system calculated dates and don’t need to be submitted Values included in these fields will be ignored.
