fileX SFTP SSH Ciphers and Algorithms Changes Now in Effect
FINRA fileX has completed the implementation of security enhancements to the fileX SFTP SSH Ciphers and Algorithms in PRODUCTION as of March 21, 2026 at 11 AM ET.
What This Means:
The fileX SFTP service now uses updated SSH Ciphers and Algorithms. Systems that have not been updated to use the newly supported configurations will be unable to access the fileX application via SFTP.
If You Are Experiencing Connection Issues:
- Review the list of newly supported Ciphers and Algorithms here
- Update your system configurations immediately
- Test your connection to ensure successful authentication
Important Notes:
- Non-SFTP fileX integrations are not affected by this change
- If you have already updated your configurations and tested successfully, no further action is required
